Orientalism was a huge development in the 1910s. Popularised by designer Paul Poiret, orientalism included brighter colors and different textiles and beading based on oriental harem pants. Orientalism styles included cloche hats, fur-edged coats, and long columnar dresses. This style also influenced Poiret to create his iconic jupe culotte

The first ever sneakers were designed by Keds

During the war, many women began to wear more simple and functional clothing due to many women having to work in the factories. This included uniforms like pants and overalls. Corsets were also seen less and less to make way for a softer and more fluid silhouette.
